Ambientato in un curioso e ibrido arco temporale in cui gli elementi del passato storico della vita rurale danese si mescolano a ignoti fenomeni del futuro fantascientifico di un mondo transumano, la trama si snoda attorno a una famiglia composta da tre persone. Tuttavia, il fatto che non si tratti di una famiglia qualsiasi diventa palese nel preciso istante in cui entriamo nella casa, incontriamo i suoi abitanti e ci aggiriamo per le stanze in cui si trovano oggetti personali, cibo e attrezzi da lavoro. Set in a strange hybrid time period where elements from the historical past of Danish farm life blend with unfamiliar phenomena from the sci-fi future of a trans-human world, the drama revolves around a family of three. This is, however, no ordinary family, which is obvious from the moment you enter their home and encounter the inhabitants as you walk through the rooms containing their belongings, food, and working tools.
