Where my girls at?! When I tell you, the @Essence Black Women In Hollywood event was so amazing... in addition to Essence honoring the immeasurably talented fierce and fearless @teyanataylor the brilliant @cynthiaerivo visionary @dramaraamla and iconic @marlagibbs4real I got to see my friends and family. My cousins @massahdavid and @miattajohnson did their thing with @mvdinc , bringing so many incredible power houses together. I didn’t want to make this a long post, but to keep it all the way real, @iamwendyraquel was my first acting coach at around 7 years old. And here we are together after many shows and movies 🤯. My bff @traciblackwell was with me through 8 years of TVD guiding me with grace and profound wisdom. So this isn’t just a luncheon, but a culmination of a journey we’ve all been on together. Thank you @amazonmgmstudios for giving me a seat at your table and lifting us up when Hollywood doesn’t always do so. I really love these women so much. I am so grateful to have been in that room.
