I didn't write this song in NYC I wrote it in LA but you go to a Woody Guthrie exhibit and there's this tableau - what else was I supposed to do? The next morning I went to the top of the Empire State Building and threw a button off the top and made a wish. (It didn't kill anyone I googled). Then later an elm tree dropped a branch on my head when I was complaining about the past and I looked it up and it seems it *could* be a message to stop talking about the past and move on to new beginnings. Then the next day I did a meditation in strawberry fields where you meet your future self, and my future self was an ant eater. I was like this can't be right so I rewound about a minute and tried meeting her again. This time my future self turned to me and said "I'm actually an aardvark." So I looked that up and it *could* mean I should stop wasting my time and get to work on more important things. I wish I was embellishing this whimsy but it's all 100 percent true. OR IS IT?
