Long Story:
In February of 2018, I picked a camera 📸 for the first time. Literally the first time. My wife and I had just had our second child and I wanted to have some quality pictures of them as they grew older. Since we had an infant at the time, I was up all night anyway. So, I spent hours, dozens at first, then hundreds of them, learning and consuming all that YouTube had to offer on photography and eventually, videography. For the next 3 years, it was a fun hobby. I’d travel all over Southern California from Joshua Tree to the Anza Borrego Desert in the middle of the night just to capture stars and the Milky Way. In 2021, @teamchancebasketball and I went to Dallas for a conference. I’d taken some video footage and pictures of the trip. Right before he and I left, I texted my wife @divaprecious to tell her how much I enjoyed holding my camera and this would be the only thing that I’d leave my career in Construction Management and my Master’s Program for. That same day we landed, literally the same day, @iamtabithabrown and I were on FaceTime talking about the trip. She asked me to shoot some content for her. I said, “of course, sis. I got you.” She says, naw... I’m talking about you leaving what you do to roll with me. God showed me that you’re the person I’m supposed to ask. I cried. And then I accepted. She gave me the opportunity of a lifetime. And I have enjoyed every single minute of holding my camera for her. Her character and integrity are impeccable. She’s compassionate, witty, sharp and incredibly loving. Her generosity extends well beyond imagination. She makes time for everyone. Her heart is as genuine and sincere as the blood it distributes. So today, I celebrate her in this amazing journey. Not a culmination or coronation, but a continuation of her God given assignment, to spread more joy and love. With the help of my brother, @losography we shot this video and it was my first time as a DP. @iamtabithabrown Thank you so very much for allowing me to be a part of this. I hope to tell many more of your life’s accomplishments. The slow one... JR!! 😂
