This child will grow up ANTI Racism. He will grow up knowing that our society has failed many of its members and that it is his responsibility to have courage to take actions that can make a difference. He will grow up with love and compassion for all humans. He will grow up knowing that his privilege comes with a responsibility to help those with less and who have been and continue to be oppressed. He will grow up knowing that he must speak out for what is right and anything less is giving voice to all that is wrong. I have been part of the problem. I have been silent and thus complicit. I have been idle. I have not taking actions to help my fellow man and woman because I was TOO uncomfortable or scared or self absorbed. I have not done nearly enough in my life but I am committed to doing more and it starts with educating myself and the young man in this photo. I will never ever know what it is like but I acknowledge and hear and have compassion and support all of those who do. I will not be silent I will not be idle, I will take action and I will be part of the solution #blacklivesmatter
