There ain't no party like a bookshop Christmas party! Last night we loosened our ties and let down our hair for the first-ever Foyles Christmas evening at our Charing Cross Road flagship: three hours (and a bit extra) of author signings, readings, live music and festivities throughout our six-floor book-paradise mothershop. As we opened the doors to a crowd of book lovers, we first revealed our Foyles Books of the Year 2022: I'm a Fan, Otherlands, and Tyger. Cue live DJing from our Info desk by @thisisjuderogers and over 30 star authors signing their books throughout the shop—and a reading from @yomi_sode followed by a stage of Indie-published authors, hosted by @chrisjohnpower—and more signings!—and mince pies and mulled wine and free @ottolenghi extras—and live jazz from Baron Mara—and more signings! A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who came along and made this a wonderful, atmospheric night of bookish fun: all the authors, musicians, publishers and teams that helped put it together—and most of all to the book lovers that came to say hello and soak in the vibes.
