i remember mia asking me to be a part of her wedding day and how excited i was that this would be my first time ever being a bridesmaid, i left her mamas house that day so giddy and honored that she asked me to be a part of something so special...then i also remember how it felt finding out i had cancer just 3 mths later...she was one of the first few people to find out about my diagnosis before i went public with the news...i remember having to tell her that i may not be able to be in the wedding or come to anything bridesmaid related due to not knowing how my body would respond to treatment. it broke my heart if im being honest, because mia’s friendship is one of the easiest friendships i have ever had. I wasn’t able to make the bachelorette trip, because i was sick from a round of chemo during that week, but finding out i was going to be in remission before the wedding and able to stand beside her on her big day meant everything to me. Mia was there for me in the beginning, the middle, and the end as i got to ring the bell. Cancer is so isolating, you really do find out who your friends are during times like this. Thank you @miagcantrell for inviting me to stand next to you as you married the love of your life and for standing next to me as i fought for mine.
