Using local flowers is a commitment to supporting the local economy and sustainable business practices. Meaning our friends, families and neighbours are being paid fairly and have access to healthcare and good working conditions. A common misunderstanding is that local is cheaper. This is not necessarily the case. Our farmers are paying Ontario wages and rent. And their pricing reflects that. Imported flowers in some cases can sometimes be cheaper than local. Isn’t that crazy?! Which makes you think, if flowers flown in from across the globe can be cheaper than the ones in your backyard, then what are they paying their employees?! Not only do we strive for a healthy and booming local economy that respects our planet and all its inhabitants, we also try to give back as best we can. With each event or item purchased from us, a portion goes to local food banks or environmental organizations. Thanks for being here and being a champion of local flowers!
