FaceTiming yr teen to tell them to wake up and come outside is where I’m at, I guess. 7. UNSURPRISINGLY, I fell super hard flat on my face in the street and for one second thought I might have broken a tooth! But I didn’t! Just my knee a little! The man walking behind me and Cricket was traumatized though, just by witnessing me fly to the ground. BUT! If I hadn’t fallen, I wouldn’t have gone into the farmacia, where I discovered that in addition to hydrogen peroxide and bandaids, they also sell VYVANSE. 🤝 TAKE THAT MISOGYNISTIC DRUG COMPANIES! (If you listened to the podcast this week, you understand.) 8. This 💯 counts as quality beach time. I adore my teenager. 9. Per her request, Cricket and I traveled to the Coba Mayan temple ruins (on the solstice even!) and I’m so glad I woke her up early to do it, even though she was kinda grumpy(UNLIKE HER!). But bless our driver Regina who got us there and back safely and comfortably and bless Kenny who pedicab’d us around once we got there. 10. And *bless* the kind stranger who saw me looking around and offered to take a picture of the 2 of us. He did many many MANY different versions- Anyway. I didn’t know why he was taking so many but then when I looked, I realized that it was probably because Cricket refused to smile in every single one of them and it made me genuinely LOL. Because kids are just the best and weirdest thing going. And also it was rad that he didn’t ever tell her to smile, he just kept taking pics- it was nontoxic dude energy and I really appreciated it. ✨🫠🤷‍♀️ Also. Thank god we left the freezing cold early.
