Dear NYC nightlife family, As of this past weekend, my residency at The Q is discontinued. I refuse to be a representative for any venue where inclusivity, representation, & decency are not prioritized. Creating safe spaces for all queer people is a mission I do not take lightly and I will never endorse or tolerate racism, transphobia, misogyny, & prejudice of any kind. I by no means intend to center myself in this conversation as my voice is not nearly as important as those of the BIPOC individuals affected. However, I would be remiss to not publicly acknowledge where I stand, as my community has instilled in me the importance of accountability and emphasized that integrity & transparency are always paramount.
