Comparison can work for you or against you...
Comparison to others can be stifling to your growth & can leave you forever feeling empty & never enough.
Comparison to versions of yourself can be helpful. I often look at photos of my fitness journey over the past 10yrs & focus on what I loved about my body physically & then I pull up my old lift numbers & compare where I am at now. This has the ability to be disheartening only if you focus on it in past tense. In other words “I’ll never be that strong again” or “I am so far from that goal now”. Instead remind yourself of what your body was & IS capable of (way more than we can comprehend) and be gracious for the different seasons you go through. If you have never reached your ideal fitness goals then continue reminding yourself that they are attainable & remind yourself of where you were at when you started.
The journey is never linear but always worth it. Every workout counts, every rep counts & so does every workout not done & every rep missed you just have to decide on what side of the Goal posts do you want to be 💪🏼
