Yesterday at @thewonder we officially kicked off Hendrix’s not so terrible twos with the funnest party not knowing that today we’d wake up to a bit of a bloody mess...literally. Hendrix kicked off his two year birthday gashing his little forehead at our apt and eventually ending up with three stitches. He’s okay...but us as parents, those wounds cut thicker. Guilt & a rush of “what if’s” come crashing down. Seeing our babies in pain (especially during those anxiety-inducing hospital visits) is the worst pain of them all. Silver lining: a funny new ‘do thanks to needing to remove blood from his hair without wetting the wound. 🥹 See slide three. I just love him so. ❤️‍🩹
