TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️ 🌞 Last month was the first time I openly spoke of my last suicide attempt. 🌞 Some people in my life have asked me if I'm scared people will judge me or try to use my openness about sexual abuse and mental health against me. 🌞 Though I know they are coming from a place of love, I always have the same answer. I don't care. I am doing this for the people who reach out to me in secret and share that they also have faced this treacherous journey. 🌞 I do this to build bridges of empathy and understanding for fellow survivors and those who were called home too soon because they couldn't take the pain and shame any longer. 🌞 I do this because it's what I believe God called me to do. And though I'll never understand why it happened in the first place, I know I'll continue to fight like hell for peace. To fight for those who also need to find it. This is for my warriors on earth and in heaven.
