My Homecoming celebration from Miss World was one of the highlights of my life. My heart continues to be filled with people like YOU- who encourage my charity work. This celebration began with key people who have truly been there for me, on my path. This is part 1. Part 2 coming tomorrow. Host families: Sujeet uncle, Nidhi Kumar, Deepika ji, Dhiraj ji, Amit Kumar Ji Priti Ji and lovely kids “Shree called me from Miss World in Puerto Rico. Her story of strength and she fought medical battles at age of 12, helped me get back up! I loved your quote “possibility and solution-oriented mindset”. You have blessed America and continent of Africa. You and your mom are always there for me- even at 2am, 3am.” Senator Manka Dhingra “We are proud of her as Asian. it’s never ever easy being “The First”. When you are “The First”, you have to work harder, you have to care harder and live up to higher standards.” Commissioner Cory Wright “Shree has personified what it means to be an American, while still maintaining her Indian heritage.” Salvation Army Hector Acosta and Iris Lynn “It’s such a treat to meet Shree and be here. I enjoy listening to the stories that people are sharing here of her mentorship”
