It truly depends on your goal. The reason we bulk is to build strength & muscle, as it’s the most optimal way. As you can see, a cutting phase is to shred body fat, which will reveal a more defined look.

Do you care more about gaining strength & muscle and accepting that you won’t be super lean?
You have to accept the fact that in a building phase, you will gain body fat. You have to push yourself outside your comfort zone sometimes, always keeping that end goal in your mind. Don’t shy away from a slight calorie surplus, because you’re worried about gaining a bit of fat along the way. Trust the process 👌🏼
