So stoked to be able to share this editorial we partnered with @notion a while back to make happen. - @kyliegovinchuckphoto took the lead with creative direction and production on this project and really poured her all to make her vision come to life. We knew we wanted a vintage look but didn’t want it to feel costumey. The inspiration for the shoot was capturing the feeling of a soiree with a mix of fun, gossip and overall sophistication. Through some location scouting and conversations about how we wanted the story to be communicated through lighting and imagery, we put tother a shot-list that felt to have a nice flow from each unique environment of the location. The shoot came together to create a story from another time with a touch today. - Lighting: The lighting for this shot was interesting, everything just fell together in the moment, and it looked great so we rolled with it. I had Maya (@touuraya) lit pretty far away from camera left with a @westcottlighting FJ400 and a standard reflector as our hard key light. Then I also had another FJ400 and big 6’ Wetscott Umbrella coming from across the pool behind Maya as a general backlight and fill for the pool. Then I had a white beadboard to camera right, directly out of frame to give a nice fill to Mayas face.
