In the aftermath of Hurricane Melissa, many of us throughout the diaspora continue to grapple with seeing the unimaginable devastation Western Jamaican residents are coping with and the anxiety of being unable to contact family and friends. In the past week, we’ve experienced loss, resilience, and the relentless sense of community that defines Caribbean people; however, prayers, volunteers, and donations are still needed.
