A while ago I edited (and wrote every word in) this beautiful, 300-page, hard back book featuring the colourful cast of characters, led by Dawn Hindle, that make up the legendary Pikes Hotel story. From founder Tony Pike telling us his infamous tales to interviews with some of the hotel’s favourite people who’ve come and stayed, played and sashayed around the pool. And what a line up... Fatboy Slim, Jarvis Cocker, Laura Whitmore, Artwork, DJ Harvey, Ruby Murry, Martha Cooper, Sophie Tea, Paul Oakenfold, Diana Gomez, Lyndell Mansfield, BaybJane, Irvine Welsh, Carl Barat, Guy Williams, Terry De Havilland, Starlover, Kim Booth, Tess Prince, Dre Masso, Blue Logan, Azim Majid, Grace Neutral, Seth Troxler, Bushwacka, Robyn, Alex May Hughes, Emily Malice, Sarah Shotton, Brothers Grim, some of the hotel’s favourite cocktail recipes, and, of course, Dawn and the incredible staff.
