how I make my spearmint matcha!! So many q on this every time I post. I love to combine spearmint and matcha 1) because it tastes yummy and 2) because we know spearmint and green tea are PCOS superfoods (more below)! Spearmint has been shown in studies to help reduce free testosterone which can help with aesthetic PCOS symptoms like acne and hair loss. Magic pill? No, but can definitely be a health promoting thing to include. Green tea has a dash more research behind it with PCOS. Green tea extract has been found to benefit glycemic parameters with PCOS, which can help with resumption of ovulation. Green tea may also lower excess androgen levels and inflammation - both drivers of pesky PCOS symptoms like hair loss, acne, weight gain. Ok now how I make it.... ✨ I either brew lots of @tradmedicinals spearmint tea and ice it or use a packet of @piquelife spearmint with cold water. ✨ I whisk my serving of matcha with 1/4 cup warm or cold water if I use my pique matcha I find it whisks just fine in cold water) and add to my spearmint mixture ✨ I add my my matcha to my chilled spearmint tea, add ice! ✨ from there I will add my milk of choice. I usually do vanilla almond milk, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract and 1-3 drops of stevia/monk fruit. Sometimes I do 1-2 tsp of maple syrup instead. I also am not totally dairy free so occasionally I will add 1-2 tbs half and half for more creaminess or some coconut milk! I almost always exclusively use pique for my matcha. Matcha can be a source of heavy metals and toxins if it is not properly sourced and screened- pique triple screens for purity! I do have a discount link in my bio and on my website :) #pcos #pcosconsciousqueens #pcosmatcha #matchalatte #spearminttea
