We have commissioned @stitch_school to create a bespoke Supper Cloth celebrating our twinning, and invite you to join us around the embroidery table to leave your mark! Half of the cloth will remain in Brixton while the other half is gifted to the Harlem community as an emblem of the twinning. Why not make a day of it and book yourself a FREE TICKET to see the Grammy award-winning documentary Summer of Soul at 5pm, also being screened @ritzy_cinema ​​​​​​​​ If you have not yet seen this film, we highly recommend you view this wonderful piece of restored archive footage that looks at the 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival. It features many of the legendary greats in Black music including Nina Simone, Mahalia Jackson, Sly & The Family Stone & Stevie Wonder! ​​​​​​​​ ​​​​​​​​ There will also be a warm up jam social with DJs and dancers celebrating the outdoor street culture of Harlem & Brixton.
