A few months ago, I had the pleasure of traveling to Okinawa for work. There, we filmed an episode for VICE’s “Trouble in Paradise” series, a darker riff on the classic travel vlog style. We spoke to locals about how poverty - in part an aftermath of decades of US & Japanese occupation - affects their lives today.
