Remi - the greatest bird who has ever lived. It is with more sadness than I could possibly convey with words that I inform you that Rem has passed away :( People have always scoffed at & dismissed the thought that a tiny little bird could have such a massive impact, but Remi truly is and always has been my greatest friend in this world. Since the moment we first met over 20 years ago, he has brought me so much happiness. Remi has been my day 1 homie since I was just a little boy, I can barely remember my life before him. We grew up together. Rem was there when I read each Harry Potter book for the first time (and the 25th), with me playing w/ hot wheels race cars & building Lego sets when I was a child. Rem was there with us when we moved to Point almost 16 years ago. He was by my side (and on my shoulder) writing college application letters & applying to jobs. We celebrated every achievement, and lamented every failure together. I think it’s safe to say that after a lifetime of fun, the last few years have been the absolute best of his life. Remi adapted so well to the new life that @jessnort and I are building together, and absolutely thrived in OG. Even in his old age, he lived with the same comfort & joy that he did when we were young. I made sure that Jess knew from day one that he & I are a package deal, and she embraced Remi so perfectly. My life has not felt the same without my buddy anymore. Wherever you are, I hope there are a lot of mirrors, bells, sunflower seeds, peanut butter, & music. I love you Remi - legends never die 🧡 🦜 🌻
