Collages, newspapers and A furniture installation piece for @vanmoof - @sistersjanssen @vanmoof asked us where we get our inspiration from in Amsterdam. ‘’ As local artists of Amsterdam, the city has a high impact on the stories that we tell. Inspiration is a never-ending thing and the people, especially women, of Amsterdam shape what inspires us to create. It’s almost like a New Wave that creates New Ways of being and expressing. Their voices give light to the city that we call home.’’ We made three artworks using different materials and techniques. The funny thing is that for this project we also used new ways of creating these artworks by using materials that we have never worked with before. In this post you see our artwork ‘’LOCAL PASSION’’ that is a translation of the local hotspots that shape this city for us. All are owned by individuals that pour their heart and soul into what they do. All with different story’s to tell and/or messages to spread. Almost all these hotspots have in common that they create space for communities to express who they are, this is exactly what people need to be authentic in their own way – NEW WAY.
