I am so grateful for the work I get to do! 🎵✨ Today our music program at New Mission High School was highlighted on @boston25 news as a part of their ZIP TRIP series featuring many different components of the Hyde Park Community. At the end of my interview, we were surprised with a $2,500 donation to our music program from the legendary @musicdrivesus / @erniebochjr. Thank you so much to @boston25 news for highlighting our work building the music program at New Mission High School and to @MusicDrivesUs and @erniebochjr for the donation! Ernie Boch Jr. and Music Drives Us have been supporting music programs with what they need to succeed for many years now and we are so appreciative to be supported by them as well! This music program will have students learning the fundamentals on Piano, Guitar, Ukulele, Bass Guitar, Drum Set, Voice, and Music Technology. Through universal design for learning, a relevant student centered focus, and many other elements my aim is to ensure students are able to bring what they learn from the music classroom and into their world.
