@festivaldecannes 🤯🤯 A little over 3 years ago @evangelinenyc came to me with a film called BEAST which was very near and dear to her heart. They were looking to close the financing on a story about these kids with absolutely nothing...taking place in Pine Ridge South Dakota on a Native American Reservation. I spoke to Riley, Gina and the rest of the team and their passion for these kids made me passionate (long before I even read the script). A story that deeply moved me, a story that was heartbreaking, but a story on these kids that I wanted to be apart of and fight for.. I was able to secure some of the financing with @valerierockhill and the rest is history. This is a story that has resonated deeply with me these past few years. @evangelinenyc @erbelerb myself and many others managed to raise a lot of money for these kids even outside of the film. This is an experience I will forever be grateful to @evangelinenyc for. To see this movie premiering at Cannes in one of the most competitive sections (un certain places regard)and be apart of this movie in any capacity makes it all worth it. And congratulations to @rileykeough and @chinagammell for fighting to bring this story to life, a directorial debut that people will forever remember. We out to CANNES?!?!? #farrocktocannes 😭
