The problem with looking and feeling sexy and some thoughts around it... Here’s my looks from day two of our yearly celebration event LimeLife Palooza! Today was a fave suit and shoe combo of mine from @paulsmithdesign and this beautiful new silky white button down I got. I went super simple in the evening with a black long sleeve shirt and some dark jeans. Super simple but I actually felt real sexy in it. It’s funny though, “sexy” definitely isn’t an aim I go for when it comes to dressing up because you’ve gotta carry that vibe with you to really own the look. But we all deserve to own our sexiness sometimes. To me sexy is more of a way of being than just a look, it takes both the mindset and the outfit to pull it off. It’s a moment to see your own sexiness and recognize that it is in you and you don’t have to let society shame you for recognizing and owning it! There’s so much shame out there, that I know I for one, have been afraid to express my sexiness before out of fear of judgement. The breakthrough for me is just owning it no matter what anyone else thinks, there will always be haters but that’s not who I show up for and I don’t have to hide myself based on someone else’s personal code of morals, ethics or judgments. Those are theirs not mine and they do not dictate who I am or what I express. That’s a lesson that’s taken me a lot to implement. But what I love is that the women in this video really own their sexiness and it to me it takes nothing away from how powerful, professional, and respectable they are, in fact it adds to it! When’s the last time you dressed sexy and really owned it?
