Stockholm, Wisconsin is a hidden gem! Have you ever been there? (At least for me, because I don’t visit little towns up north very often.) It’s beautiful, situated along the Mississippi River and Lake Pepin. The town is tiny (just 82 people!) and full of shops, art galleries, and great local food, including bakeries galore. And there’s a Swedish cultural museum dedicated to the Swedes that settled in the area in the 1800’s. On a nice day you’ll see lots of motorcycles, too, since that area is great for riding. Here are five things to do in Stockholm, WI. 1. Eat great local food! @hopdishandvine and @littlelarkebakery were two of my faves. 2. Learn about the Swedish heritage in the area in the museum. 3. Eat pie at the famous @stockholmpieandgeneralstore 4. Shop! There are tons of shops and art galleries. Apparently Stockholm was designated one of the 5 best places to shop in Wisconsin! 5. Enjoy the natural beauty. There’s tons of hiking in the area or just sit by the lake or river. I saw three bald eagles 🦅 in one day!!
