Also, i just looked it up and apparently it’s pronounced “Jibli” and I’ve been pronouncing it wrong forever lol The studio name was actually inspired by an Arabic word that means “hot desert wind” and IS pronounced “Gi-blee” But the Japanese pronounce is with a J sound. They actually say it more like “Jiburi”, but most people say “Jibli” or mispronounce it like me as “Ghibli” lol #studioghibli #totoro #princessmononoke
