Scrapbook reel from a recent magical LA trip that was so special to me! 💞 I cherish the feeling of alignment in my life across work, friends, family, intellectual passions, physical passions, and spiritual pursuits — and this trip was full of that, making my heart very full! 💓 Synchrony between all parts of life I find to be a foundational pillar of sustainable happiness for me. The path to feeling alignment started in earnest on October 4th, 2018, when I – a burnt out 5th year surgical resident who had just put down my scalpel forever and walked out of hospital for the last time ✌️😷– wrote on a large white board what my mission was: 🖋 “I am here to empower people to live happier, healthier lives by helping them understanding their bodies in a way that encourages healthy lifestyle choices that allow for optimal thinking, feeling, energy, vitality, and activity.” This I was clear on. I believe that when you shoot an arrow in the universe with intention, it will deliver. 4 years later, my whole world orbits around working to help people (myself at the top of the list) have happier, healthier lives by understanding their bodies and being EMPOWERED... this manifests as Chief Medical Officer of @levels, my forthcoming book that I’m co-writing w my brother on metabolism 👀, the course at Stanford I taught on Food & Technology, how I spend my leisure time w friends and family, etc. I am deeply inspired by and grateful for the stunning health & wellness community in the LA Area working to inspire a thriving, healthy world.
