You guys know I love a little apple cider vinegar, but what does the research actually say? Does it do something or does it do nothing?! There is a decent amount of data showing that ACV does indeed show benefits for PCOS/insulin resistance. Meta-analysis of studies have shown that regular apple cider vinegar consumption shows to help decrease cholesterol, fasting plasma glucose, and hemoglobin a1c values! Add a little ACV and walk do your routine before pizza and pasta night and you will be golden! Remember, excess circulating blood sugars —> lead to elevated insulin levels —> which can lead to elevated levels of testosterone, androgens and inflammation which are drivers of the pesky PCOS symptoms like acne, hair loss, and facial hair! I actually quite enjoy a tbs of ACV in sparkling water (with a straw) buts also great in salad dressing.
