“This life would be in vain if it weren’t for the Atonement.” This is a thought I journaled 9 years ago on my last visit to the Garden Tomb. A lot has changed in my life since and these words mean more to me now. In my naïveté, I would not have predicted then the trials, struggles, adversity, joy, love, and sorrow to come. I’ve learned a lot and made too many mistakes to count. This Easter Sunday has been another great reminder of the constant, consistent necessity for the Atonement of Jesus Christ. I love this quote regarding the Atonement and the “companions” described: “One of the great consolations of this Easter season is that because Jesus walked such a long, lonely path utterly alone, we do not have to do so. His solitary journey brought great company for our little version of that path--the merciful care of our Father in Heaven, the unfailing companionship of this Beloved Son, the consummate gift of the Holy Ghost, angels in heaven, family members on both sides of the veil, prophets and apostles, teachers, leaders, friends. All of these and more have been given as companions for our mortal journey because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ and the Restoration of His gospel.” Jefferey R. Holland, None Were With Him, April 2009 I’ve been feeling especially grateful lately for all of the help, support, love, kindness, generosity, wholehearted service, and companionship our little family has received in the past several months. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. {And I’m sorry if i haven’t taken the time to let you know individually.} We are blessed with many angels in our lives! I know He lives. Thank you for exemplifying the light of Christ. I’m continuously overwhelmed with the sincerity and charity ❤️. Happy Easter ☺️!
