last week we honored my mom on the one year of her passing. it was a beautiful sunny day to remember a beautiful person. i’m grateful and thankful for the love and energy that surrounded my brothers and i. from everyone who flew in to my momma’s best friends who coordinated her service at church. —— it’s truly hard to believe it’s been over a year now without my mom. it’s even a miracle that i’ve made it this far. there will never be a day i don’t miss my mother. wish she had more time. to live her life to the fullest extent. as an individual. and free without fear. the loss of my mother is felt everyday by every person who was lucky enough to be loved by her. she was a special being. she had so many qualities that made her Etenesh, but her greatest joy was her kids and being our mom. she truly lived everyday for us. i know she’d be proud of us. how we’re continuing to push each day. even in her transition, i know she’s still with me. being there for me when i need her the most. she’s still being the best mom ever 🤍 —— i love you, mommy. as long as dawit, amanuel & i are here, you’ll live on forever. rest in peace, my angel 💕🕊
