This middle eastern immigrant girl made it to @etalkctv :) It is absolutely surreal, as when I moved to Canada, it was really disheartening to not be able to find the job opportunity that I was looking for! One day I decided to create that opportunity for myself and others who are struggling to find a safe and creative environment to work in. Running a small business without any financial help and mentor hasn’t been easy but I know for sure that my hard work has paid off. I had a goal, a motive to prove to myself that I can do it. Today, I want to share from my experience that you all have the power to do what you love. It won’t be easy but if you dream big, work hard, focus on your inner voice, and not give up on those days when nothing feels right, believe me, you will get closer to what you desire in life. For me, it’s just the beginning and I am grateful for all the amazing people who have helped me along the way. If I could make it to where I am in 7 years of moving to a new country, without any connection or financial support, you can do it too! Just focus on yourself, and don’t ever compare yourself with others, because we’re all different and no one can tell us what to do and WHO to be.
