To my father-in-law, Mike. Words can’t describe how much you mean to me and how wonderful these past 8 years have been having you in my life. Since day one meeting you, we had instantly bonded. We both shared so much love for your son Ryan and we instantly grew to truly feel like father and daughter-in-law in no time. You constantly told me I was the daughter you always wished you had, and then finally gained and I’m forever grateful for having another father figure in my life like you. You were one of a kind. Funny, caring, stubborn, charismatic and just like your son, the life of the party - You embraced me for who I am since day one and loved every single part of me. The amount of laughs the three of us shared were constant. You taught me how to really play poker & blackjack - the correct AC way at the casinos, you showed me all your roots of south Jersey, made me instantly fall in love with this special place and I promise to bring our kids to vacation here. You made sure to find me the really good dive bars you knew wed both enjoy and the BEST buffalo wings in the area, you brought us to the best beaches and when introducing you to Charlie you fell in love as if he was your own dog instantly and he fell right back in love with you- you embraced cape cod as if it was your second home, making special memories with trips to Chatham, truro and Provincetown (trips now we will never forget). You always opened your arms to my family with so much love, spending our last Christmas all together. Im so grateful and lucky to have been your daughter in law and will forever cherish your stories, our trips and our memories. The three of us hold a special bond that I will forever miss.
