As a performer in today’s world it’s hard to see performance opportunities come and go so quickly at the hands of a global panini 😷 . . . In December I was cast as an actor for a live and immersive premiere screening of The Legend of VOX Machina- An Amazon Originals animated adaptation of the first campaign of @critical_role 🤩 NEEDLESS TO SAY- I was over the moon! This event was supposed to take place last night. With the rapid fire spread of Omarion the production company made the decision in interest of safety to cancel the event as to not add to the spread; which I agree was a smart and well founded move. It didn’t make it hurt any less of course to not be able to perform in front of some of the icons and pioneers of the Dungeons & Dragons community. All the same, please keep in mind that the arts in general are still reeling from the effects of the last two years on a consistent and daily basis; actors, singers, hosts, stage managers, producers, event coordinators, VO artists, musicians, costume designers, technical directors- you name it. I enjoyed the prep and first looks of the show while this was still on the table and I’m keeping my fingers crossed to do something like this again in the future...
