Moments before this picture was taken my sister, four nieces, great nephew and I posed for a picture after getting together for the first time in 11 years. As we stopped to appreciate the brightest and most vibrant rainbow anyone of us have ever seen, my oldest nephew says, “grandma is watching over us.” Such an incredible and symbolic moment we all got to share together after spending so much time apart. Yesterday marked 11 years since I lost my mom to pancreatic cancer. Not a day goes by where I don’t think about her or the times I want to call her and tell her how my day was. I wish she could have been here to witness the person I’ve become, I feel she would be proud. I miss you mom and love you dearly.
