What a month it’s been. My first time truly experiencing #APAHM since moving to Los Angeles and oh boy, did we celebrate. @capeusa hosted their 10th (!!!) class of their New Writers Fellowship, released their #MTVMyLife book with @entertainmentweekly and @mtvbooks, and hosted their inaugural Short Film Challenge with @janetyangofficial and @juliasgouw. @vcmediaorg once again put up a stellar #LAAPFF, during which @hbomax once again hosted the #hbomaxvisionaries competition. @eastwestplayers hosted their beautiful gala honoring guests @michelleyeoh_official, @mskristinawong and @randytamura, and @southcoastrep put up a side-splitting production of #TigerStyle. And of course, the one and only @goldhouseco hosted their inaugural and inimitable #GoldGala, which brought together titans of not just entertainment, but Asians who are changing the game in politics, business, and tech, to name a few. Through these events, as well as the countless mixers and celebrations in between, we gathered together to show that we have each other’s back. That we are here to incite and sustain change, and to prove that we belong. What an honor it is to be Asian. What a beautiful thing it is to have this community. What a privilege it is to have attended, volunteered, and photographed a plethora of events this month, all in support of lifting each other up. Without a community, little is possible. With a community, nothing is impossible.
