New year. And many new followers. We would like to take this opportunity to introduce you all to our founder, Estrid Ericson – Entrepreneur, visionary, artist, designer, producer, scenographer and art teacher. Estrid Ericson started a new chapter in Swedish design history when she in 1924, at 30 years of age, founded Firma Svenskt Tenn in Sweden. She had courage, an idea and a vision, and in 1934 she offered Josef Frank, who left Austria due to antisemitism, a safe haven in which to live and work. Josef Frank designed furniture and textiles, while Estrid Ericson had an eye for how they would best be showcased. Together, the two created the sophisticated, boldly patterned and personal aesthetic that is still seen in Svenskt Tenn’s range today. #estridericson #svenskttenn #history
