The Super Torta made it's debut in @newyorkermag written by food critic @hannahgoldfield
It's a beautiful feeling to see such a special dish many of us grew up eating (and that we are very picky about) - on a platform like this. Giving Mexican tortas the exposure they deserve. A dish that was born out of the need to sustain laborer energy. A handheld portable meal that gives many people the strength to cross over from Mexico into the states on foot. A sandwich that is seen across mexico using vibrant colors and adjectives to describe them like "super" or "gigante" to catch the eye of consumer. Which I might add is a brilliant marketing technique.
All of this is even better when it and myself are alongside many culinary and business geniuses.
This is just the begining of the Super Torta experience so buckle up babes and bring extra napkins.
