Miss World Ghana 2019 launches the Hygienic Woman Project
Rebecca Kwabi is supported by her fellow Miss World sisters at the presentation of her menstrual health program
On 28th May, World Menstrual Hygiene Day, Miss World Ghana 2019, Rebecca Kwabi launched the Hygienic Woman’s Program in collaboration with the United Nations Association Ghana.
The Program was officially launched by her Excellency Grace Jaenet Mason, the South African High Commissioner to Ghana.
The project is being supported by a number of Rebecca’s fellow Miss World 2019 sisters. Miss World Tanzania 2019, Silvia Bebwa and Miss World Sierra Leone 2019, Enid Jones Boston spoke at the event to show their commitment to implementing the project in their respective countries.
The first step of the Hygienic Woman’s Program is to roll out sensitization programs in 40 schools and properly manage and end period poverty. Rebecca will then assist neighbouring countries with the launch and implementation of the project.
Congratulations Rebecca and to all the Miss World 2019 contestants who are working hard to improve menstrual hygiene, a cause which Beauty with a Purpose has been working with closely over the years.
