Ummmm is this my new fave matcha spot in San Francisco???? Let’s discuss. 🍵 the spot: Kiss of Matcha @ 750 clement 🍵 what’s my order: uji matcha latte, matcha jam croffle, matcha soft serve in a cone 🍵 matcha latte: great flavor, a little sweet (I cut it down to 50% for the ~health~ and it’s a good enough amount). They have dairy alternatives here too, of course! You’ll just have to pay extra for them (it’s less than a dollar extra, I believe!). The matcha was high quality here, and you can taste (and see) the difference. 🍵 matcha croffle: the croissant waffle by itself is AMAZING but it is ssoooooooo much better with the matcha milk jam. It’s crispy, buttery, and flaky like a croissant. And then the matcha is basically like a syrup on top that gives it that delish matcha flavor and sweetness. Def recommend that! 🍵 matcha soft serve: we love. So I know everyone wants to compare it to @matchacafemaiko, which I can say I have frequented all too often. The soft serve at Kiss of Matcha is definitely SOFTER. It melts way faster, but it has a creamier consistency and flavor than the Maiko one does. I would say the matcha flavor intensity is on par for both. Another difference is that Maiko has more flavors that you can mix. Kiss of Matcha only has matcha and vanilla. 🍵 the verdict: if you’re in the Richmond, def try it out!
