clips from our trip to oregon in early june and a look into our saga below: a bunch of firsts with this trip! stayed inside a caboose, camped by a river, ziplined above klamath (@craterlakezipline), saw the lighthouse from LiS, attended our first @4x4ward campgrounds, and sat in a rocking chair at crater lake (routes to the lake were closed 💔) oregon has our heart, despite our allergies flaring like crazy (s/o to loratadine) absolutely loved OR-138's waterfalls and the oregon coast. campsites along the beach for $20 with hot water? that's hard not to love. on the hiace front, we chased down a way to get more air flow in the van, because we are NOT summer campers. sourced a sliding window off of a GL and got that installed a day before we left. don't think we would have survived without it. special shout-out to anthony @ JDM glass imports (@gy6hitta) and @46tireshop for the window install rec. been wanting to upgrade our torsion bars to get the most out of our lift and improve handling. kept bothering brian @jdmoffroadimports about the thicker torsion bars and they arrived at his shop during our trip. brian was able to get the torsions to @vanlifenorthwest within a day. initially planned on doing the torsions ourselves, but the universe had us on her side. danny's crew went to town on the van and ended up refreshing the front end with new ball joints and upper control arms. ended up chilling at @snowpeakportland / @takibi_pdx with our fave californians-turned-oregonians @gekklimm & @adelequeener. great gear, great food. no notes. made it just in time for campgrounds and had a great time finally putting faces to cars & ig handles. couldn't stop following ben's (@biendavis) doberman around and @ntodten showed us his sick L400. might have to incorporate some of his ideas into our rig. had to tend to other things back home, so we had to get back earlier than we had hoped. we'll see you again, oregon. huge thank you to all of our friends, well-seasoned and new, for making this trip so special to us. see y'all around- jen & hannah 💓
