Please don’t do a Candida cleanse for acne on your own and/or if you haven’t gotten tested for it. From what I’ve seen time and time again are that:
1) Candida cleanses worsened acne, and...
2) Candida cleanses didn’t do anything for skin health or gut health
Many people suffering with acne want holistic solutions to have more-meaningful & sustainable solutions. And, when looking at their skin holistically, people start to look inwards & focus on gut health. So, that’s when people start to look at Candida (a type of yeast) in the gut⬇️
Candida in the gut can be tested through gut testing involving stool samples. Many of my patients who suspected that they have “Candida overgrowth” and did stool testing were SURPRISED to find out that they didn’t haven’t Candida overgrowth, but had gut bacteria imbalance!⬇️
And, there is science that tells us that gut bacteria changes (and irritable bowel syndrome) are linked to acne (PMID: 29756631, 32463985). And, there is CURRENTLY NO EVIDENCE that speaks about Candida causing or being linked to acne.🔬
So, test - don’t guess.🧬
Work with an evidence-based holistic & integrative provider who is up to date with the science and can apply that evidence to your personal health goals🤩
