Thrilled to share that I’m part of @harpersbazaarus ‘s 2022 Icons issue celebrating a rising generation of stars —people 30 years old or younger who are making an impact on the world through their ideas and art. I was so nervous for this shoot, and I remember during the interview someone asked me “when did you realize you’ve made it?” And my answer was “right now 😂”. And it was true, my career has felt something like a fairy tale. I came into the art world fast, heavy and loud! I think about everyone who’s told me no, everyone’s who’s doubted me, the professor I mentioned in this video(okay not me realizing IG cut it so stay tuned)... but I also think about the people who are proud of me, the people who DM or email me just to say “keep going!” my friends, my family, my loved ones. Art is for the people, and I am forever blessed that the gift I get to give to the world is simply me being myself. Now that’s, iconic.
