Reflection. The overwhelming tug of war of joy and satisfaction, mixed with sadness and grief. I don’t enjoy Killing. Taking a life is the hardest part for me. And it doesn’t seem to get easier. The moment you release that arrow, everything changes. And however you feel about hunting, support it or not, one way or another that animal is going to die. Whether at the hands of a hunter who will live off its meat, or the brutal death from cold and starvation or worse, from predators like Wolves, Cats or Bear. At the end of the day, I eat meat and I am drawn to a deeper connection with the animal that sustains me.
