@grumpymagazine NO.16 [Cover 2/4] // The first-ever social distancing shoot was with #TomEllis in his LA neighborhood back in June. When I first talked to @messinaphotos about the concept for this cover, I thought it would be interesting to do something that delivers a fresh and modern energy with a more casual style. We leaned towards some vintage Hollywood vibes that he was interested in exploring too. Just like his beloved on-screen character on @lucifernetflix, Tom is kind-hearted and shows a great sense of humor. When he suggested his “buddy” #SamHeughan to interview him, I found out that they both studied at @rcsofficial in Glasgow in their twenties around the same period. On June 10th, we made that reunion happen over a Zoom call connecting Glasgow to Los Angeles. Before Tom joined the chat, Sam let me know it’s been a while since they caught up with each other so he was looking forward to it — he was prepared with his own additional researches and even improvised a quick-fire question round.
