Never again So this is kinda scary to put out there and be vulnerable publicly but im proud of this project that just got released so i wanted to share! If you are close to me you def already know that this past year has been the most emotional/hardest time and conincidentally the best and highest time ive had in my adult life both globally and personally. I really had to deal with a lot of pain, a new reality, and suppressed trauma ive been avoiding for years and have been able to have the most freedom and growth out of it. Anyways, there was a time during this year i felt like i was drowning and felt so lost that I needed help. I was already searching for a therapist for 3 years to no avail and I wondered for myself and for people like me, what does mental health support look like if you arent in a place with certain resources. During this time I became part of the inaugural FWB fellowship @fwbcollection as a fellow. As a fellow we needed to do a web3 project and i thought it was the perfect opportunity to delve into what self administered therapy would look like on myself. I did a lot of research in emdr, binaural audio, visual and sound therapy. Out of this I created my first nft called “never again”. It is a guided therapy that I wanted people to be able to use as a guideline in times of need. I have used it and did trial runs on myself to try and process a lot of trauma and emotions. I know self administered therapy can be controversial and i do not by any means think this should ever be a replacement for professional therapy! If anything I am experimenting with ideas of being able to calm yourself down during hard times or have some sort of support when you need it. This will be an ongoing research project and experimentation. I hope it helps you like it did me. It was fun getting to teach myself animation and pairing that with binauralism.
