“Shipwreck Dreams” - my newest fine art addition / As another shark week draws to a close, I wanted to share a different side of sharks through my Fine Art that rarely makes it to the big screen. While I love to see so many people excited about our ocean’s wildlife, I find that shark week tends to highlight the more extreme side of an animal that spends much of its life avoiding people. For the last 30 years, I have been diving in close company with hammerheads, blacktips, whitetips, tigers, and bull sharks. I have had many peaceful shark encounters with nothing but a snorkel and my camera in hand. From the coral reef prowlers to the shipwreck snoopers, every shark has its own unique personality and plays a vital role in maintaining the balance of our ocean’s ecosystems.
