On Friday, we had the honor of joining @douglasemhof and Brenda Mallory, Chair of the White House Council on Environmental Quality, for a Nature in Communities roundtable discussion. Our Vice President of Urban Forest Policy, Joel Pannell (fifth from right in group shot), joined other local leaders in discussing how we can expand equitable access to nature, safe parks and waterways, and how federal agencies can model these efforts across the country to bring nature benefits to more communities. Attendees then planted trees donated by @caseytrees at DC's Benning Stoddert Community Center.
