Ok, here it is, the limited edition of SERVICES, my project with @jayperkinsbenedicto. This is not a really a book, more like a sculpture – a 23-foot, pink opalescent accordion, painstakingly handmade for @mack_books by @bookworksuk. Only 25 of them exist; the result of many paper and printing samples flown between LA and London over the last year and many Zooms in which we held up different boxes and objects to try to convey heft, sheen, vibe. I believe we nailed it. Thank you to Michael Mack for going out on this limb and taking such care, Rob Hadrill for making these perfect objects and your good suggestions, Chris Svensson for working so closely with me to design not only this book edition but the original works, and most of all, thank you to Jay Benedicto for the collaboration. None of us would have gone though all this trouble if you hadn't pulled such true things out of your soul. My dear friend @isabellealbuquerque was with me when I opened the package; her gasps were very satisfying. Special thanks to @szmagazin for inviting me to create a new work for their Edition 46 and suggesting that it was worthy of an edition. They are officially available now @mack_books.
